The Nurses may be good, but don't have Notary Tonia Cousett sign any paperwork for you, She will mess things up. I paid an attorney to make out General/and Medical Power of Attorney over my 88 year old Father. I had at least 5 people in the room while I was discussing papers with him. He was happy to fill them out, he discussed out loud what he wanted to be done if he passes away. He signed all the paperwork, I gave the papers to Tonia to fill out her part, sign, date, and stamp them. I left there to go to my Fathers bank to take care of bills and to file papers in safety deposit box. The bank refused papers because they had two different dates on them and were not SIGNED by the Notary Tonia Cousett- She only used her stamp. I did not have time to return that day so I had to wait almost a week to get this corrected. I went by Attorneys office to get a new blank copy. I got to Carrus to have my Father sign it AGAIN. At this point, My Father is mad he is stuck in a Rehab, in pain from previous surgery, and has to do Physical Therapy he says 3 hours daily which he feels is too much. The only thing he wants at this time is to go home and be left alone- he has asked my brother and sisters to take him home in the past few days also. We can not take him home due to he can't move, stand, or walk well enough to get around at home. So he will not sign this copy of papers and I can not take care of his finances or act in his behalf for General Power of Attorney needs. All this because the Notary Tonia Cousett did not fill out her part of the paperwork correctly.
