I recently had a family member in this facility. The Case Manager Nurse was very ineffective and inefficient in her job. We were given limited information on our insurance choices and it was only after complaining did they send the appropriate information to the insurance company. My family member was discharged with medication/instructions that she had not needed for over 2 months when she had a feeding tube. The records department assured us they were sending in the correct paperwork but we had to keep following up to ask them to do their job. The facility was clean and the therapy staff and nurses on the floor were good. This facility could use a good manager and someone to train the support staff to better communicate. This is a sad and terrifying time for patients and families and HealthSouth could improve on family support.
