Absolutely awful hospital! Despite having severe allergies to morphine that cause anaphylactic shock and almost killed me in the past, I asked if I could have Dilaudid as an alternative. They CLAIMED that they “do not carry Dilaudid in this hospital“, so they had nothing to give me for pain relief while passing a kidney stone except for glorified Motrin. Which I found funny because I know for a fact that they DO carry Dilaudid on their regular floors as I had a friend being treated there at the time and was being given that medication! So I had an ER physician trying to push morphine on me, knowing my severe allergy, and telling me “we can have Benadryl on hand in case you have a reaction”, to which I told him “no, you will need to have an intubation tube ready to go because my throat will close!” They absolutely do NOT CARE about their patients well being here. They are only concerned about “drug seekers”, and I can assure you that this is not the way to handle it by denying a patient in excruciating pain a medication that will help them tremendously. It’s pretty obvious that I was not a “doper”, yet CT scan showed that I was actively passing a 4 mm stone! I will never return here and have told many others the same— to NOT GO HERE.
