My best friend went to ER after calling her surgeon. She had back surgery a year and a half ago. She had hardware and discs fused together. She fell 2 days ago and after 2 days was in so much pain has not been able to hardly walk and was hurting so bad she couldn't stop crying. Took her to Arbuckle ER. They took her blood pressure and heart rate. BP was 160/110 and heart rate was 145! Nurse took them again because they were so high and they were the same! She was sent to the waiting room and found out there was a 100 year old lady who'd been sitting since 2pm. It was now 7pm. They never got her back and she left at 10pm. Absolutely ridiculous. They didn't have anyone leave since 2pm. They could've at least been treating people on the waiting room. When someone is in 2nd stage hypertension and tachycardia they need to get on top of it immediately! She's going to try to contact her surgeon again in the morning and he's going to request triage papers since they wouldn't release them. I wonder why! If she has a stroke or heart attack tonight I can guarantee there behind will be held responsible! Absolutely ridiculous and beyond anything I have ever seen. If your hospital is that short staffed you need to not accept ANY patients and refer them to other hospitals. This is complete incompetence on their part!
