Took wife to hospital on Saturday 8/22/15. Had fallen and broken wrist/arm. Took awhile to get in back and was placed in what was called overflow room that measured roughly 60 sq ft. For some perspective my closet in master is 40 sq ft. Took over 2 hrs upon arriving for her to receive any pain med despite the tears in her eyes. Once ortho doc arrived which I knew personally, things picked up speed. In the next 2 hrs OR team calledtest ran and in prep for surgery. After surgery Dr called me on cell with details. I was given Rx's for filling as I was told she would be leaving in a bit. I left only to find out NOWHERE in Scotland county can one get meds filled on Saturday evening. Got back to hospital to see about wife. Was told wife was still in ER. I knew she would be upstairs as I was already informed that would be the case. The women at desk in ER waiting room made zero effort to try and find my wife. After about an hour hoping someone would call down looking for me, I stopped an RN who asked the same women at ER check in to which they gave HIM the same answer. He made 1, count it again, ONE phone call got room number just that quickly. I went upstairs well past visiting hours and was informed they were keeping her then they were not keeping her. Well she had to jump thru hoops and walk a tightrope or two. Then low and behold after midnight they turned her loose.
